A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2024)
Hubcity Theatre is a nonprofit theatre company located in Moncton, New Brunswick.
We’re committed to enriching New Brunswick’s cultural landscape through the performance of classical and contemporary theatre while fostering the creation and exploration of original works.
Entertaining audiences for close to 20 years
Founded in 2007, Hubcity Theatre was built on a foundation of dedication to the arts. A group of post-grad and graduating university students shared the dream of bringing quality theatrical performances to the Greater Moncton area. Hubcity Theatre ran its very first performance, Measure for Measure by William Shakespeare, purely out of its members’ own pockets, to the delight of the handfuls of audience members they could garner.
Now, almost 20 years later, Shakespeare in the Park is still an annual tradition, and Hubcity Theatre has evolved to become a premiere entertainer in the area. With a varied focus on classic and contemporary works, Hubcity Theatre aims to produce a combination of well-known and well-loved titles—like Clue On Stage—along with lesser-known hidden gems and can’t-miss masterpieces that Moncton audiences might not otherwise have an opportunity to experience—like the Pulitzer-Prize-winning August: Osage County.
Hubcity Theatre has become a mainstay in the local entertainment scene, and is thrilled to continue bringing you the best that our local talent can offer.
