Join us at The Empress Theatre November 27, 28 and 29 for an evening of mystery.
Hubcity Theatre presents Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap - the play that redefined the whodunnit genre of mystery and murder.
The play is a combination of 1950s English comedy, with classic Christie murder-mystery. Known for its twist ending, come out and experience a piece of theatrical history written by the greatest crime writer of all time. May not be suitable for all ages.

As part of its mandate to broaden theatre opportunities for the Moncton community, Hubcity Theatre is proud to offer these free workshops. Whether you are looking to try acting for the first time or a seasoned veteran wanting to brush up on your skills – these workshops will provide the tools and support to help you reach your performance goals.
Workshop Schedule
Throughout this term’s workshops - participants will have the opportunity to engage in a continuous scene study during the second hour of classes. This single scene study – developed over the coming three months, will culminate with a performance for family and friends on the last night of our workshops.
1. Owning the Stage – Sept 17
Learn or refresh the important foundation needed to perform on stage. During this session participants will take part in exercises including become familiar with areas of the stage, how to effectively perform for an audience and how to communicate with fellow actors and your surroundings.
2. Embodying your Character – Oct 15
Through a series of games and exercises learn what it really means to become your character. Discover certain techniques to ensure your movement and presence, physicality and motivation all grow from your established character.
3. Raising the Stakes – Nov 5
Don’t just phone it in – learn how to reach certain levels in scenes and character interaction and how to maintain those levels. Exercises and games will look at external/internal conflict, relationships with other characters and understanding your objectives.
4. Mining the Depths – Dec 10
Dig a little deeper with exercises and games that help you flesh out your character and reach emotions and presence you never even realized you had. We all have abilities waiting to be discovered – are you ready to dig a little deeper to realize your true potential as a performer?
